COMPANY INFORMATION:
Federal Publications Inc. is a privately-owned distributor of federal government books, maps and nautical charts (on paper and CD-ROM). In addition to members of the public, our clients are librarians and professionals from corporations, law offices and schools across Canada. We offer a busy, dynamic work environment in an expanding business.

Job Opening: Part-time Bookkeeper, Toronto
2-3 hours per week; flexible hours - can be outside regular office hours. Some work can be done from home.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Bank account and credit card reconciliation
  • Identifying, investigating and correcting financial discrepancies
  • GL entries
  • Statement preparation, resolve questions from our CA firm
  • Note: invoice generation, AR & AP already processed by current staff; Payroll is outsourced
  • We use Business Vision accounting software
QUALIFICATIONS SOUGHT:
  • Proven bookkeeping experience (references will be required)
  • Skilled with accounting software
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Reliable, trustworthy, discrete
  • Work in timely manner without supervision
  • An accounting or business designation / diploma / degree is preferred but not essential.
