The Trent-Severn
Waterway is comprised of four principal river systems in south central Ontario
- the Trent, Otonabee, Talbot and Severn - and Rice Lake, the Kawartha Lakes ,
Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching. It visits a number of communities such as
Trenton, Peterborough, Lindsay, Barrie and Orillia. It also passes through some
archeologically significant areas such as the Petroglyphs and Serpent Mounds,
