| The Part Three Estimates contain the Reports on Plans and
Priorities, which are the individual spending estimates for all Government
of Canada departments and agencies, excluding crown corporations. They are
tabled in Parliament by the President of the Treasury Board on behalf of the
ministers who preside over these organizations. Tabled in the House of Commons on June 9, 2011, there are 95 separate Reports on Plans and Priorities (RPPs) that elaborate on, and supplement, the information contained in the Main Estimates. In these reports, departments and agencies outline their strategic outcomes, plans and priorities, performance measurement and expected results over a three-year period. The tabling of the Reports on Plans and Priorities supports the Estimates process. Taken together, the Main Estimates, the Reports on Plans and Priorities, the Budget and the Economic and Fiscal Update reflect the Government's annual resource planning and allocation priorities. The Reports on Plans and Priorities provide increased levels of detail on a business line basis and contain information on objectives, initiatives and planned results, including links to related resource requirements over a three-year time horizon. The RPPs also provide details on human resource requirements, major capital projects, grants and contributions, and net program costs. Once the fiscal year is over, Departmental Performance Reports provide individual department and agency accounts of accomplishments against plans and expected results set out in their RPPs.
