Orders shipped to Ontario:
- All orders shipped within Ontario, including shipping fees,
are subject to GST. Effective January 1, 2008 the GST rate is 5%.
- In addition, all orders which include maps, charts, posters,
CD-ROMs and/or diskettes are subject to 8% PST.
- If any item on the order is subject to PST then the entire
amount of the shipping fee is subject to PST.
- Please note that GST and PST are each calculated separately
on the subtotal of the order (there is no "tax on tax")
Orders shipped to "HST"
Provinces:
- All orders for books being shipped within Nova Scotia,
Newfoundland and New Brunswick, including shipping fees, are subject to HST.
Effective January 1, 2008 the HST rate is 5%.
- All orders which include maps, charts, posters, CD-ROMs
and/or diskettes are subject to HST. Effective January 1, 2008 the HST rate is
13%.
- If any item on the order is subject to 13% HST then the
entire amount of the shipping fee is subject to 13% HST.
Orders shipped to elsewhere in
Canada:
- All orders for books being shipped outside Ontario, Nova
Scotia, Newfoundland and New Brunswick, including shipping fees, are subject to
GST. Effective January 1, 2008 the GST rate is 5%.
Orders shipped to outside Canada (U.S.A.,
and international destinations):
- There are no taxes charged on orders being shipped out of
Canada.
Exempt Purchases
- Some organizations or individuals may be GST, PST or HST
exempt; if this applies to you please provide information at the time the order
is placed.
